Kendo
Introduction to Kendo
You command a Kendo fighter and face off in one-on-one bouts inside a traditional dojo. An eight-way joystick shifts your position and multiple buttons let you aim strikes at the head, wrist, torso and throat. Each clear hit with correct stance awards a full point and you need two points to win. If time expires without a decisive strike the match ends by the ref’s judgment and the fighter who pushed harder carries the day.
The game skips any backstory or cutscenes. It simply guides you through a series of tournament matches that grow tougher with every win. Opponents bring new timing and style so each bout feels fresh. No plot twists get in the way of the pure Kendo action.
Graphics stick to colorful pixel art that shows the armor and bamboo swords in clear detail. The soundtrack uses chiptune melodies and real referee calls that bark commands before the clash. Each opponent has a unique look and attack pattern. The solo challenge keeps ramping up until you claim the champion title.
