FNF’ – The Basement Show (Tom & Jerry)
A House Visit Goes Wrong
FNF: The Basement Show takes the familiar Tom and Jerry characters into a much darker story. The mod draws its main idea from the Tom’s Basement creepypasta.
Boyfriend and Girlfriend look for a house to buy. Jerry offers to show them his property. The visit becomes dangerous once they reach the basement and discover what has happened to Tom. Jerry does not want them leaving with that information. Boyfriend must face him through music instead.
This gives The Basement Show a full story setup rather than simply placing Jerry beside a microphone.
Jerry Changes as the Songs Continue
The first main part of the story follows Boyfriend’s battle against Jerry.
The current track order begins with:
House For Sale
Evaporate
Sirokou
Older versions use “Vanishing” where later versions use “Evaporate.”
Jerry becomes more threatening as the songs continue. His expressions change and the scenes grow darker. During “Sirokou,” his appearance becomes much more disturbing than it is during the opening battle.
Tom Gets His Own Battles
The Basement Show grows far beyond the first Jerry week.
Later parts feature Tom as an opponent. Songs include “Blue,” “Tragical Comedy,” and “Shattered.” Another group uses a corrupted cartoon version of Tom in “Funny Cartoon,” “Cat’s Carnival,” and “Unstoppable Block.”
Another story section includes “Blood’nCartoon,” “Splatter,” and “Chainsaw Maniac.”
The larger versions also contain many extra tracks outside the main weeks. These introduce different versions of Tom and Jerry along with other characters.
More Than a Three-Song FNF Mod
The normal rhythm controls remain easy to understand. Players watch the arrow lanes and press the matching directions when the notes line up.
The hard part comes from staying focused while the screen changes and the story becomes more intense.
FNF: The Basement Show grows through several major updates. Later builds contain far more songs than the first release. Version 2.5 alone expands the main story into several weeks and adds a large group of extra battles.
The Basement Show stands out by turning Tom and Jerry into the center of a long horror-themed FNF story. Boyfriend starts with what appears to be a house visit. From there, the game moves through Jerry’s secret, several versions of Tom, new story sections, and a large collection of rhythm battles.
