Friday Night Funkin’ vs Baldi’s Basics brings Baldi into a rhythm battle with Boyfriend. The setting draws from Baldi’s Basics in Education and Learning. The strange teacher stands at the front of the challenge while Boyfriend needs to prove that he can follow the beat.

Baldi starts the game in a fairly calm mood. That does not last forever. The music becomes harder and Baldi becomes much less patient as the week continues.

The school theme appears throughout the mod rather than using Baldi as a simple character replacement.

Basics and Lesson Start the Class

The first main song is “Basics.” It gives the player a slower introduction to the battle.

“Lesson” comes next and increases the challenge. The song also brings in more of the strange school feeling that makes Baldi’s Basics easy to recognize.

The current version replaces an older third song named “Dismissal” with “Expulsion.” That gives the main week three tracks:

A fourth song called “Piracy” can also be unlocked.

Special Notes Make Class Harder

Friday Night Funkin’ vs Baldi’s Basics does more than change the music and artwork.

Special ruler notes appear during some sections. Players need to pay attention because these notes do not behave like ordinary arrows. The “Piracy” battle also introduces dangerous computer-error notes. Hitting the wrong special note can cause serious trouble during the song.

“Piracy” also moves parts of the note display from side to side. That makes it harder to keep the eyes fixed on one spot.

Players unlock “Piracy” by entering the code 94150 after completing Baldi’s week.

Rhythm Becomes the School Test

Players still use the usual FNF direction controls. The goal is to hit Boyfriend’s notes at the correct time and survive until the music ends.

Friday Night Funkin’ vs Baldi’s Basics makes those simple rules harder by adding Baldi’s personality and unusual school mechanics.

The game also gives fans several familiar touches from Baldi’s world. The ruler theme, classroom setting, strange lessons, and anti-piracy idea all connect back to the original character.

Instead of collecting notebooks and solving school problems, Boyfriend has one main assignment here. He needs to keep the beat through Baldi’s songs without making enough mistakes to fail the musical lesson.
