Friday Night Funkin’ Retrospecter splits its story into two tracks called Wrath and Minus. Each track unlocks a mode that never fails and lets you jump straight into freeplay. You choose your challenge level before the music starts.

Freeplay holds ten distinct tracks. Retro and Staisfracture set the early pace. Spectral and Ectospasm add a spooky edge. Fuzzy Feeling brings a mellow twist. Preseason drops a classic throwback. Sigma delivers sharp rhythms. Acidiron locks into heavier beats. Preppy jumps to a lighter swing. Overtime cranks everything up for a final showdown.

A robot voice greets the player with a loud beep. It calls out tardiness and points out how relaxed the girlfriend looks. Another voice snaps back and warns the robot to quit poking around. It ends by admitting a spark of anger is already burning.
