Nitrome launched Skywire 2 in 2008 as the sequel to its original title. In this game players steer a cable car riding along tracks set high above the ground. Pressing arrow keys moves the car forward or back. Along the way animated obstacles try to knock riders out of their seats.

The goal lies in reaching the level’s end without emptying the car. Each ride holds up to three passengers. Losing every rider forces a restart. The game has solo mode plus a cooperative setup. In cooperative play two people steer separate cars at once. Some levels feature powerups or checkpoints to help players push through trickier sections.

Pixel art visuals come with catchy chiptune tunes. Players face fresh track designs that grow tougher over time. Clearing stages earns achievements and unlocks fresh challenges. The game skips any deep story and tests reflexes and timing instead.
